Log of voyage Lymington – Cherbourg - Carteret - Diélette - Lymington 

15 – 21 June  2001

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 43 DS "Shield of Faith". Total distance 198 miles.

Note   Log was under-reading. By comparing logged distance to charted distance over last 30 miles of passage to Needles on Thursday, and allowing for a small component of tide with us for the last 2 hours of this, a log correction factor of 1.15 has been calculated. The total distance logged was 172.2, so true total = 198 nm. All log readings below, and boat speeds, are as read from the log and uncorrected.
